I got a new bike!  I am so excited for this summer and to get started on my off season training.  Living in Whistler biking is just as big as skiing and snowboarding!  I am so happy that I got my new Kona Cadabra to pedal around.

This season I've had some ups and downs and I've learned a lot on and off the snow.  I am so happy with my season this year.  I'm looking forward to some really good off season training this summer!  About a week ago I got back from Italy after spending a month in Europe!  I raced the last two World Cups of the season and then raced Junior Worlds.  The World Cups didn't go the way I wanted.  I fell in quarter finals in Switzerland and finished 23rd overall and in Spain I finished 23rd again.  I was disappointed with my results because I was really hoping to do well at the last races.  After that me and my team spent 13 days relaxing and travelling around Italy.  I was so ready to race when it came time for Junior Worlds in Valmalenco!  I had made it through two rounds and ended up in the small final.  I was a head of everyone and eneded up taking myself out and finishing 8th overall.  I was not pleased with my result, even though I fell I was still really happy with the way I was riding that day and my mind was in the game!

Right after Junior Worlds we loaded up the vans and flew home for Canadian Nationals at Big White.  I arrived at 2 am and had to get up to race Junior Nationals the next morning! On top of everything my board bag didn't show up so I didn't have any of my gear!  I was able to scramble together some gear from fellow team mates and I made it in time for the race.  I qualified 2nd overall and ended up falling first round and finished 16th.  The next day was Senior Nationals.  I was racing along side National time riders Michelle and Carle.  I qualified 8th that day and raced my way to second place!  Carle was able to keep a hold of that first position spot but I was very happy with my final result!
